Direct marketing initiatives targeting a deceased loved one can cause added and unnecessary distress for grieving families. By registering your relative’s details with The Bereavement Register and TBR Call Guardian you can put a stop to junk mail and unsolicited telesales calls.

Available through funeral directors who are members of the National Association of Funeral Directors, The Bereavement Register is a free service that removes the names and addresses of deceased people from company mailing lists and databases.

TBR Call Guardian is an associated free service that screens all telemarketing calls to the deceased person’s telephone number for a period of six months from the date of registration. Unwelcome marketing calls are blocked at the telephone exchange, but there is no impact on personal calls to the number.
