Keeping a memory alive

Losing a loved one is never easy, but as we all know kind words, fond memories and quiet reflection can go a long way to help ease the pain. This is where we can help you, by providing an online sanctuary where you, your family and friends can visit to keep precious memories alive.

The first step is to ensure that the name of your late loved one has been added to the Book of Remembrance – it is free and easy to do. To see if the name has already been added go to and enter the surname into the search bar. If the name has not been added and you have not already discussed this with your Funeral Arranger then please contact the Friends and Relations team on 01872 226800.

On setting up your Celebration Page, you can add your own personal words and pictures. You can also create a link to a chosen charity where visitors can, if they wish, make a donation in memory of a friend or loved one.

Contributing to the memory

Setting up the page is absolutely free, however to enable unlimited access to the pages so that your friends and relations from all over the world can add their comments and photographs, there is a one off charge of £25 (including VAT) which will secure the celebration page for generations to come. When the site is enabled for all to use, friendsandrelations.com will make a contribution of £5 to the chosen charity.

Through the sharing of words and pictures, this wonderful online sanctuary provides great solace and comfort and is a touchstone where anecdotes and precious memories can be seen, read or left at any time whether it is an anniversary, birthday, special occasion or if you simply want to stay in touch.

Since Friends and Relations was launched tens of thousands of pounds each year are donated to charity by people visiting the site and leaving voluntary donations.
