Established in 1905, the NAFD represents the interests of the entire spectrum of funeral directing businesses – including independent businesses, the Co-operatives and major funeral groups – who conduct in excess of 80% of UK funerals.
The NAFD provides a wide range of general business as well as industry specific support services to help funeral director members focus on their core objective – meeting the needs of the bereaved.

Environmental and Sustainability Advice
The NAFD Environmental Advisory Group will encourage and support members in developing good practice within the funeral industry in matters relating to the environment. The Group gives advice and information to members on environmental and sustainability issues through the publication of articles in the Funeral Director Monthly magazine.
