NAFD Promotes the UK Funeral Service Stateside

The National Association of Funeral Directors (NAFD) developed international relations with its US counterpart and members and generated interest in the National Funeral Exhibition during a visit to the NFDA International Convention & Expo (October 7-10).

NAFD president Kingsley Bryant was a special guest at the American funeral association’s four-day conference and exhibition in Las Vegas, which incorporated a busy programme of seminars and workshops, networking lunches and some top industry and motivation speakers.

In addition to addressing the conference, Kingsley was honoured to award the presidential medallion to incoming NFDA President Michael St. Pierre.

Willow coffins are new to the American market and proved to be one of the star attractions of the show.

The NAFD booth was very busy as David Hyde of Leisure Expo highlighted the opportunities for American funeral businesses to access the UK market via the National Funeral Exhibition.

“The NFDA International Convention & Expo gave us the chance to meet fellow professionals and exchange information and ideas which are beneficial to us both, while the huge level of interest from potential exhibitors at NFE 2009 made the trip extremely worthwhile,” says NAFD chief executive officer Alan Slater.
