The National Association of Funeral Directors is recognised by Her Majesty's Government and its external agencies as the Trade Association that represents and sets the standards for UK funeral directors.
The NAFD's standards are high and, in order to maintain them, its team of Standard and Quality Managers conducts regular inspections of members' premises, while the funeral homes of all new applicants are examined prior to these companies being accepted into membership.
Funeral directors have to satisfy key professional competence criteria before they can be admitted into membership of the National Association of Funeral Directors. The NAFD’s logo is, therefore, the 'kite mark' for the funeral profession - adding credibility to member businesses and helping to instil in bereaved families the confidence that NAFD members are committed to delivering the highest quality of service.
