Non-members invited to NAFD Conference

The NAFD’s Annual Conference and AGM, which takes place from 1-3 May, is heading to Liverpool in 2020 and, for the first time, non-members will be able to take advantage of the event’s wide range of expert sessions and inspiring speakers. Although the Annual General Meeting on the Friday is reserved for members only, there’s a regulation session on the CMA market investigation and regulation of funeral plans that afternoon, which is open to all – as well as an extensive education programme on the Saturday, packed with diverse speakers and debates – including a keynote session by Royal Marine Commando Andy Grant.

The Education sessions also include:

  • a session on the impact of direct cremation from Debbie Kerslake, former CEO of Cruse Bereavement Care
  • a presentation by Mohammed Omar from Muslim Burials
  • Neil Bowler, from The Debt Recovery Bureau LLP, on managing debt within your business
  • workshops on crisis communications and conflict resolution

The Conference is being held at the Crowne Plaza Liverpool Hotel in the heart of the city centre and there are also a number of fantastic networking events to enjoy, including a ferry ‘cross the Mersey’, an exclusive visit to the world class Beatles Museum and the President’s Banquet, which takes place on Saturday 2 May.
