Here are the key points funeral firms should be aware of ahead of tomorrow’s 1 April 2022 reporting deadline, as set out in the Competition and Markets Authority Funerals Market Order:
ALL FUNERAL FIRMS
Charitable donations, gifts and gratuities register
All funeral firms must ensure that their register is updated by tomorrow, 1 April 2022 to cover any payments made since the date on which the Order was made (16 June 2021) up to 31 March 2022. It must be displayed in branch and on your website.
Check your posters and website are up to date
Under the Order, funeral firms have 15 working days to update their posters and websites with updated pricing information, once notified of a change. Ahead of tomorrow’s 1 April general reporting deadline, this would be a good time to check that your posters and websites are accurate – if you haven’t already done so.
ADDITIONAL: FIRMS WITH FIVE OR MORE BRANCHES
