Henry Sherry was elected as first president of Association with John Bye of Manchester as vice-president, James Broome as honorary secretary and Thomas Ellithorn as treasurer. Finally, the BIU was dissolved and funds of just over £27 were transferred to the London Funeral Furnishers’ Association’s Benevolent Fund.
